In March, I went with DeSoto Youth Ministries to Nicaragua and used puppets to minister and work with youth there.  One young girl in particular especially connected to me.  She came around every day and followed us around to schools and churches.  She came from the poorest of families, where her siblings did not go to school but wandered around begging food and money for the family.

A group of us sponsored her to attend a private school where she is excelling and succeeding and making a great change in her life.

And it all started with a puppet!
