Kim Fletcher, LCMFT, LMFT, RPT-S

Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor

Kim graduated from Friends University with a Master’s in MFT. She completed the PTCP at KC Play Therapy in 2005-06. Currently Kim serves as Family Services Coordinator at Rose Brooks where she oversees children and family clinical services. Prior to this Kim worked at Project Eagle as an in-home service provider. Kim has special training in early developmental services including Theraplay training, NCAST curriculum and assessment for maternal mental health,training in Reflective Supervisionva and Certification in Denver II developmental assessment & Early Communication Indicator. She is additionally a member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. Kim has also worked at Gillis Center as a therapist and at Head Start in several positions. She has presented frequenly around the country on developmental, violence and play therapy issues.

Kerry Koehler-Butt, LCSW, RPT-S

Kerri has been providing treatment to families and children for over 13 years. She became passionate about play therapy in college and has continued to learn and grow ever since. Kerri has provided treatment to children in both school and community settings. She is currently the Clinical Supervisor at the Child Abuse Prevention Association in Independence, Missouri where she enjoys providing both play therapy services to clients and clinical supervision to interns and staff. Kerri is dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse and neglect and loves to see play therapy help children heal.

Melissa Wright, LPC

Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor


Melissa is a LPC and received her masters degree from Webster University in 2000 and is an alumnus of the KC Play Therapy certificate program.
She started her professional career managing a day program and providing service coordination to individuals and families. Melissa worked for Healthy Families Counseling Support for the last ten years providing in home therapy, outpatient therapy and supervising other masters level mental health professionals.
She specializes in working with kids ages three and up with mental health needs such as abuse, trauma difficult life transitions.
Melissa is now the co-owner of Metis Counseling, where she practices play therapy, individual therapy and family therapy. Metis Counseling is located at the I-29 and Barry Road corridor in Kansas City Northland.

Dr. Robert Jason Grant, Ed.D, LPC, RPT-S

Instructor


Dr. Grant completed his education from Missouri State University receiving a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling. Dr. Grant further received his doctorate degree in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Grant is a member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Play Therapy, Missouri Association for Play therapy, and the Autism Society of America.

Dr. Grant conducts various presentations and workshops on topics such as play therapy, career development, and autism spectrum disorder treatments and is an adjunct instructor at Forest Institute of Professional Psychology.
