Workshop The C’s of Supervision: Clinical, Creative and Critical Issues in Play Therapy Supervision
Description Meets the new supervision criteria for APT. This training covers the crucial C’s of supervision: critical, creative and clinical issues. Topics to be covered: legal and ethical issues related to supervision of play therapists, theories of supervision and their application; creative methods and techniques of supervision and clinical issues encountered in supervising play therapists. A very popular, yet thorough training for anyone who wants to supervise! This training not open to students. Supervision of play therapy has so many aspects to consider. Each day of this training will address different areas to consider in supervision. Day one will address Critical issues such as liability, forms, guidelines, etc. Day two and Three will address Clinical issues of supervision including play therapy methods to help with problem solving and Creative methods of play therapy supervision.
1. Learn the critical liability issues related to supervision of play therapist.
2. Learn at least five creative methods for implementing play therapy into supervision.
3. Address clinical issues in overseeing play therapy supervision.
4. Meet the APT guidelines for supervision instruction for becoming an RPT-S.
