Description: This course will focus on sandtray methods and fundamentals in play therapy treatment with children, families and groups. The history, practice and advanced methods will also be discussed. Use of sandtray methodology with groups, families, adolescents will be taught through hands on experiences. Cultural issues affecting sandtray use in play therapy will also be discussed.

Workshop: Assessment, Treatment Planning and Grief Work with Play Therapy
Description: This course will look at various assessment techniques using play therapy. Various diagnosis for children using the DSM will be examined and treatment planning and writing within the scope of play therapy theory will be taught. Interfacing traditional paper assessments and play therapy will be reviewed. Applications with grief work in play therapy, including cultural implications, will be overviewed.
