Description: This course covers the major theories of play therapy and teaches practical applicaton of each theory through teaching techniques and/or showing video sessions for theories. Emphasis of each participant determining their own play therapy approach is encouraged. Some of the theories covered include: Client-centered, Adlerian, Relationship PT, Developmental PT, Jungian PT, Release PT, Experiential PT, Filial PT.

Infant, Toddler and Neurosensory Play Therapy
Date: October 4-5, 2013
Workshop: This course will evaluate the growing field of infant and toddler mental health and how it interfaces with play therapy use. Play therapy methods that apply to this population will be explored. Neurosensory applications in play therapy along with multicultural implications will be taught.

Description: This course will focus on sandtray methods and fundamentals in play therapy treatment with children, families and groups. The history, practice and advanced methods will also be discussed. Use of sandtray methodology with groups, families, adolescents will be taught through hands on experiences. Cultural issues affecting sandtray use in play therapy will also be discussed.
