Topic One: Play Therapy with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Focus will be on play therapy approaches and techniques that work well with treating Autism spectrum disorders. An overview of autism will be provided. How play therapy can be a viable treatment approach for autism will be reviewed. Several techniques that can be used with play therapy sessions will be demonstrated.
Topic Two: Play Therapy with Adults.
This training will focus on how to incorporate play therapy into treatment with adult clients. How to introduce play to adult clients, how to overcome resistance and special considerations in using play therapy with adult clients will be presented.
